ING Direct 6.0% AER Cash ISA

I see that ING Direct are now promoting a Cash ISA paying an AER of

6.0%. This is based on an introductory offer of 6.55% for 6 months from date of opening, before reverting to their standard (and unexceptional) rate of 5.13%. Mind you, 6% overall is very good, as long as you're prepared to potentially have to move in the following year. Interest is paid monthly. The minimum balance is only GBP 1, which certainly isn't bad. I didn't read the T&Cs in detail, but I didn't spot any obvious mention as to whether transfers-in (or out, come to that) are possible.

Well as for the latter, it's there plain as day:

"Move your money when you like Move your money out whenever you like, with no penalties or charges"

I get the impression (from the lack of mention) that you can't transfer in. Unfortunately, their Ts&Cs link isn't working for the ISA so it's impossible to confirm.

or: "B.2 Payments into the account a) Apart from your first deposit (and as long as you do not go over the investment limits under the ISA regulations), once you have activated your account you can make more payments into it by: . sending us a cheque; . setting up a standing order from another bank or building society; . arranging with another bank or building society to make a payment (for example, by electronictransfer; or . transferring money from another account you hold with us.

You cannot transfer funds to your ING Direct Cash ISA directly from ISAs held with other organisations, unless we let you know separately that you can do so.

When making payments other than by cheque, you will have to give the bank or building society making the payment our sort code (40-61-98) and give your cash ISA account number. "

Transfers out are permitted
