Anybody know what the new minimum income levels are for applying for Pension Credit in 2007/08, particularly single pensioner under 65? I know in

2006/07 it was 114.05, but don't know what it rises to in 2007/08 and want to know if my mother can claim. Last year she missed out on it by 1.75p, which meant she was left to pay a contribution to her council tax of 52 a year, which left her better off by an amazing 75p per week.

It's actually the "applicable amount" you need rather than the PC amount for the purposes of counil tax benefit and housing benefit - although I think they're the same for under 65's, but when she's over 65 the AA will be higher.

In 2007/8 it's 119.05, see:

The amounts are nationally set.

That doesn't sound right - did she have any savings etc? CTB is reduced by 20% of any income over the AA, so she should only have had to pay 18.20.
