Having worked as a pensions administrator myself many moons ago, I remember all the calculations that can be involved (I started making up spreadsheets on lotus 123 in those days!). Thankfully there now exists online calculators namely;

Compound interest, straight (1+i)^n tables not needed now, with the scientific calculator on your pc. just go into;
