Please Advise - Loan Repayment On Death

Feb 05, 2006 3 Replies

A friend has borrowed some money from a relative and has requested that in the event of his death the relative be the first to get their money back from his estate.

Is this possible or would the mortgage company/credit cards/Inland Revenue come first?

Thanks for any help given.

Sorry, a typo ! this should read "If the estate is insolvent then whatever is left (if any) will be divided between ALL the UNSECURED creditors in proportion of the amount owed "

John

That great, thanks very much for your help.
