Share purchase history

It's time to do taxes and work out a couple of "capital losses".

Where can I found out how much I paid for a share and when ? First one is Bradford and Bingley. I think these can be regarded as a total loss and put against capital gains. (I'm not happy about the way it was handled, eg compare with RBS or LLoyds; but that's another subject)

I don't know what the situation is with my Alliance and Leicester. In any case, I'll need to find the purchase history as with B&B

The above were "purchased" share - not free ones at demutualisation which I don't think you could not have a capital loss on.

Thanks in advance.
