Top Researchers Grilled at SmartEconomist.com

Fiona M. Scott Morton, Professor of Economics at Yale University's School of Management, is on the hot seat at SmartEconomist.com this week. Morton has agreed to field questions for the site's new "Smart Interviews" feature. She is the co-author of one of the most popular working papers reviewed on the site, entitled "How the Internet Lowers Prices."

SmartEconomist.com is a top-tier business research site that provides plain-language summaries of working papers in economics, finance, and world trade. It's also the home of "Silly Economist," which pokes fun at blatant lapses in economic intelligence.

When a user survey revealed that readers want to interact with the authors of working papers, Smart Interviews was born. Distinguished professors and economics researchers climb into the hot seat at SmartEconomist.com and field your questions.

SmartInterviews launched earlier this month with Menzie D. Chinn, Professor of Public Affairs and Economics at the LaFollette School, answering questions on the U.S. trade deficit. Last week, Andrew Bernard, Professor of International Economics at Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business took questions about globalization.

Who would you like to see grilled at SmartEconomist? Share your suggestions and I'll try to get them on the site.
