Hello,
If state pensions still exist when I retire (LOL!), is it possible to draw a UK pension in another member state, or do I have to live in the UK to draw it?
I am thinking of Poland specifically.
Cheers

You've paid into it and you're entitled to receive the benefit of it wherever you live. The only thing you need to consider is that the pension will not be index linked if you live in certain countries.
Chris
Thanks for that.
Nope - you tell the payments office you have moved and give the overseas address. The Government doesn't mind and it helps them decide whether to index link your pension. You can have it paid to a UK or overseas account.
My parents have theirs paid direct to an account in Spain.
However you are wise to maintain a UK address for all sorts of other reasons.
Has anyone any suggestions on how to maintain a UK address if you don't have friends or family in the UK?
Like the Sky subscription ;-)

you can live in a member state and still collect your pension, but i think you will have to maintain a UK address
Would this include a house that I was renting out? Or would I be better using a friends/family's address?
Probably fine with either - depends why you might need to keep such an address. If for a credit card then a family member is better of course.
There are plenty of "virtual office" services available which will give you a normal looking address to which you can have mail sent. They then forward that mail on to you wherever you are in the world.
Chris
??? Why do you need a UK address for a UK credit card? My UK Visa bills get sent abroad no problem.
You don't, it might just be better if you decide not to tell the lender, to use a family member over a friend.
