Accounting Manager - Torrance, CA
I am assisting to recruit an Accounting Manager for a biochemical company located in Torrance, CA. Here is more information:
Company:
They are an international, technology-based company specializing in the production of innovative biochemical and pharmaceutical compounds. The company employs 530 motivated and qualified people worldwide.
Within this division, the accounting department has just three employees - the VP/Controller who has been with the company six years, a senior staff accountant/bookkeeper who performs a/r collections, fixed assets, G/L reconciliations and has been with the company five years, and an a/p clerk who has been with the company four years. They work very well together - there's good teamwork and chemistry. In this new opportunity, they are seeking someone who wants a long-term and stable position. The company is growing, but the effect on the accounting dept is much slower.
Experience/Qualifications:
Degreed Costing experience = 4 to 6 years General ledger / financial statement preparation
Functions:
Assist VP/Controller to develop a reliable cost (job cost) system. Inventory control Bank reconciliations. Eventually, monthly financial statement preparation, monthly closings, analyses.
Salary range = $55 - $65
