I have a BBA in Economics earned many moons ago but do not actually work in a business field that involves accounting or finance (I am a database developer.) I have an opportunity to shift careers into the world of finance and part of my shift will involve getting an MBA, probably in Finance. As I have done little to no accounting type thinking in over a decade, I need to do some review of accounting concepts in preparation for taking classes in Fall of '09.
Can anyone make some book recommendations so that I can refresh my knowledge over the next year?
