Peachtree Import and Custom Invoice

Each month I receive an excel spreadsheet that contains information I need to use to invoice my customers. I have tried to import this information into Peachtree, but have not been able to do so. Is there a way to customize the import utility? I also need to print a very detailed invoiced based on the information that I import. Can anyone tell me where I can find the information to be able to do this? I am also willing to pay a consultant to set this up for me if anyone has a suggestion on who to use. I am in Alabama.

Thanks in advance for any help. Melissa

You will need to format that spreadsheet to correspond to the proper column layout that peachtree requires.

I've done it for very basic invoices but I've never tried it on complex ones. Output a sample invoice or 2 (File>>export) On the Accounts Receivables tab select the Sales Journal entry and click on export. Then go to the Fields tab and check only the necessary fields. Then go to the Options tab and put a check mark in the "include headers" box. Now click on okay. The output file will be c:\sales.csv. This file can be opened up in excel. Experiment with your export until all of the fields that your invoice spreadsheet are included. Then you need to get our invoice spreadsheet in the same order as your export file. You might experiment with setting up formulas to the right of your received data to create the right output file. Hopefully this will get you started on your project.
