Batch removal of DB items - how to?

Aug 10, 2005 1 Replies

Hello. Somehow during the course of using the most splendid QSI import utility (see earlier posts for details if you're interested or have any clue as to the strange intermittent errors) it created several thousand duplicate departments called SW. Rather than mouse clicking these few thousand away one by one, is there a quicker way to get rid of them from w/in Admin/SQL command line??

Thanx!

THe import utility is case sensitive which can cause the duplicate you described, I have had a similar problem. Found the EMS MS-SQL lite manager (freeware program) very useful to look at the data and write SQL scripts to tidy the data, for example delete from department where id > 100
