We are using a piece of software from Professional Advantage which replicated data from the RMS HQ to Great Plains. IN order for this to work correctly we need to collect the credit card information using RMS in order for it to be correctly put into GP. Basically, we are currently using 1 separate credit card terminal at each store and are assuming that they are choosing the right credit card type (EX when they run a VISA now they could accidentally choose mastercard and it would go through). If we turned this functionality on now we could have bad information passed to Great Plains.
If we collect the information with RMS it automatically chooses the correct credit card type, and minimizes these errors. This works just fine with manual credit card swipers (which we could turn on now), however it is still a problem with Pin Pads.
There is an ingenico unit which is compatable with RMS which will do all of this, however there are two problems with them. #1 they are very expensive ($550) and #2 we still have to have a receipt printer at each location (which we don't have now).
WE have a Verifone VX570 with USB/Ethernet/pinpad/credit card capabilities which we are playing with. I am unable to find a way to link this up to RMS (using a OPOS driver).
SO my question....does anyone know of a solution that will make this work? Any help would be appreciated....even if you are using a different device than the VX570 we would be interested in changing.
