Data Base is Slow

Hello There: I have a shoe Matrix with 25 colors, and average 7 items pers color. WHen selecting Quantity views, it is taking around 2 minutes before it is opening the page. Any Idea. My DB is too loow sofar, not even 500 Items in it. I believe this is nothing at all for a SQl DB.

must be RMS 2.0

I noticed this when testing 2.0 SP1, horribly slow with large matrix items.

The MatrixAttributeDisplayOrder table gets screwed up in the conversion from

1.3 to 2.0. In theory this conversion problem is resolved in SP1, but if you have already converted, your out of luck. So far the only "FIX" I have found is to delete and rebuild the offending Matrix from scratch.

If someone comes up with a better way to clean up this table, I'd love to hear how!!

What exactly gets messed up in the conversion from 1.3 to 2.0? Does it "only" affect the MatrixAttributeDisplay Order?

The only problem I had is with the MatrixAttributeDisplayOrder table, which is a new table in 2.0. Matrixs with 2 or more levels get many duplicate entries in this table during the conversion. ie. A matrix with 25 entries in the first attrib. and 5 entries in the second attrib. ended up with over 200 entries in each attrib.

TomT,

I found that problem pre SP1. After I tested the SP1 installationm the duplicate entries problem has been fixed, but the order of the attrbiutes gets mixed up with the attribute codes now. They are half way there, but still no cigar. Have yo noticed the SLOW load times on the matrix views now as well?
