It would be great to add the ability to prompt the cashier to request and enter a zip code for each transaction.

For one of our clients we recommended the following - (Assuming you are not collecting individual customer info).
In RMS create a customer for each zip code as the account #. So when you select the customer you enter the zip code for the account #. This will give you tracking by zip codes for the sales.
