Finance Charges

A quick search of this group turns up nothing but problems with finance charges and statements in general. The general issue(s) with statements are widely known, as is MS' indifference regarding them.

My problem, however, doesn't seem to have been addressed...

My system refuses to apply a finance charge, ever.

My configuration: Closing date: 20th of month Due after invoice date plus 90 days. Minimum payment = $0.00 Minimum Finance Charge = $20 Annual Interest Rate = 0%

Am I defeating the Minimum Finance Charge with the 0% interest rate?

We charge a flat $20/month 'billing fee' for all accounts, regardless of balance, for every statement beyond the 90 day 'same as cash' period.

I assume that when you say regardless of Balance you mean as long as there is a debit balance [ as a credit or ZERO balance you woulfd not want a service charge].

That is correct, sir. We don't penalize customers with credit balances, only those that don't pay in a timely fashion.

Does the 0% interest defeat the Minimum Finance Charge?
