Steps

  1. Open Store Operations Administrator
  2. File, Connection - fill in database password
  3. Query New - this will open a new window
  4. Type in sql query to get desired information such as in step 5 - give me all emailaddress from my customers where an email address is not blank.
  5. select emailaddress from customer where emailaddress ''
  6. Press F5 (which is run key)
  7. A result of all the email addresses will appear.
  8. Go File Export -select location and file type .csv
  9. Open cvs file in excel

You can also in other stuff in your query. Select firstname, lastname, emailaddress from customer where emailaddress ''

Hope this help but before careful in store operations administrator... I' am you could do the same with a report from store manager.

Dan I believe what you are saying is correct I just don't know Sql well and what you are saying to type in is not working. Also I was told this could be done through the manager app. Does anyone know how to do it that way.

Thanks

Bgar, all you need to do is run the Customer Address report in RMS Manager (Reports>Customer>list). Once the output renders on screen, simply right click anywhere in the body and you can select / deselect any of the various feidls their for viewing (Show/hide columns). Once you have the info you need displayed, right click again and this time choose Export..select File designation and XML format and you should be good to go. You'll notice there is also a setting for the ability to export hidden tables..you may want to deselect that option so that you don't get all the info you hid in the step above.

Hope this helps.

The easiest way would be to use a report and export it to Excel. I have attached a report that should work fine.
