Lay By Process is INCORRECT

Dec 18, 2007 2 Replies

Hi, When a Lay-by is created and is sold by Sales Person A. Then when the customer pays the final Lay-by payment and is completed by Sales Person B ( as Sales Person A is on holiday ) The complete sale goes on Sale Person B, when it should go to the Sale Person who sold the garment. In this case Sale Person A. This should be fixed as when working on commision, it causes a lot of arguments within staff.

Look forward to the fix

If you are looking to track commission you need to use the Sales Rep not the Cashier. The cashier will show whoever is signed on to ring up the sale and hence the behaviour you are seeing on Laybys.

If you use a Sales rep on this transaction this will stay regardless of who takes the final payment. You will also then be able to the commission calculations that are built into RMS.

Look up Sales rep in the Help file, this will tell you how to set up your staff as Sales Reps.
