Operating System Requirements for 1.3 Refresh

I've received mixed comments on what enviroment I can run Microsoft RMS in. We currently are running version 1.2.0189 at HQ's and 3 stores. Our server is running Windows Server 2000 and all the POS machines are running Windows XP Pro w/SP2. I have held off on installing the 1.3 Refresh because I've read that it only is supported on Server 2003 and Windows XP (see:

Recently, I've visited with a few RMS partners that say it shouldn't be a problem to update my system. Can anybody shed some light on this for me? Anyone have some experience with this?

Thanks

Version 1.3 was only compatible with Server 2003 and XP.

One of the major features of the 1.3R1 release was the addition of support for Windows 2000.

Glenn,

Thanks for the response. After looking at the software that Microsoft has sent out, I realized that I do have Refresh 1, so I should be OK. From my search, I didn't come across any documentation that Windows Server 2000 was still being supported.

Thanks again!

Jeff,

Thanks for the post. I am thinking of waiting until version 2.0, but do you know if I'll be able to 2.0 from 1.2? Also, is version 2.0 going to support Server 2000 still?

Thanks, Michael
