Does the physical inventory do anything to quickbooks. I am about to do a store inventory and want my quickbooks account to be adjusted for loss, spoilage etc. I don't mind a blanket inventory adjust line.

No, Physical Inventory does not send data to quickbooks. It does give you a summary of the adjustments being made when you calculate the inventory though - bet bet would be to enter that value as a manual journal entry into quickbooks directly.
