I am planing to buy data collector for physical invotry count I like to If I can use Symbol PPT2700 Barcode Data Collector . Is it compatible with RMS

Gill, any data collector that generates a csv file will be compatible with RMS. Once the file has been uploaded to the host computer, go to RMS Inventory and import the file. You will have to set the path to the file and the file should be formatted with two fields, ILC and quantity. The data collector will need to be programmed to read the same barcode characters that you use for your ILCs, i.e., on a UPC A code, if you use the preamble character plus the next 10 characters, then the data collector will need to be programmed the same way.
