Can someone please build a rental system that integrates with RMS. I would donate my time and store as a test case to make this work.
There has to be a way to add this function that is so critical to my business. Even if its just a hook to a web based rentals and reservation system. maybe it could be done by using a modified work order that attached to the calendar
In my opinion the system should do the following:
1) allow rentals of a variety of items with separate pricing for each. We rent kayaks, paddles, helmets, Life jackets, bicycles, inner tubes... etc Each has its own daily rate, weekend rate and weekly rate. 2) Allow scheduling of rentals in advance. (ie rental reservation with deposit) You should not be able to reserve the same item for the same time period. 3) Automatically calculate overdue rental charges. 4) Provide a method for Credit card authorizations for damage/ loss deposit 5) Force checkoff of "liability release signature" by cashier before tendering 6) Check items in/out on pickup and return 7) Provide reporting on availability, overdue items, and # of rentals by date or item.I'm sure others will have some ideas. So please add them and VOTE FOR THIS SUGGESTION.
In addition to buying this system I will give the developer free kayak lessons or Raft trip in Colorado :-)
