Hi

RMS is ideal for retail operations from 1 store up to a few hundred so i'm told. All you really have to do is throw more hardware at it. We have 40 stores connected, and about 20 office users connected on citrix and we have 4 servers in total, 1 for HQ manager, 1 for SQL DB and 2 dedicated comms servers for HQ Server.

All in, we have spent around R800k ($120k) on hardware, and roughly R1 million on implementation ($140k). We have had a fair degree of customisation done and fully integrated into Great Plains for financial reporting and data integration.

There are bugs, but it was the best product for us > MY company is thinking of starting to resell RMS - ot what size of client

Target client depends on you. We have clients that have a single stand alone system, all the way up to multiple stores with various lanes per store. Then theres the add-on that enhance the functionality of RMS. Cost of RMS varies greatly. Microsoft MSRP is about $1400 a lane. Also there is yearly maintence through MSFT that your customers will need for updates and patches.

Hope this helps.

Well, the target clients will depend on your company structure, people, support and services You can give... Anyway, RMS can be implemented to single store final clients and upto chain stores with more then 300 POS machines. We have different types of clients (in size, number of POS, users, etc...) and the core system works more then well... Go for RMS...

Regards, A.
