Quickbooks RMS integration problem

I am trying to figure out how to integrate Quickbooks 2005 Premier with RMS

1.2. I have 2 PCs, a POS/Server up front and a backoffice PC with Quickbooks. In Manager on the backoffice PC I have selected File, Configuration, Accounting Tab, selected Quickbooks 2003, Retrieve and it says it has successfully connected with Quickbooks. However, when I try to set up the GL Accounts by going to Journal, GL Account Setup I get the account mapping table but I am unable to select any accounts (all cells are empty and I cannot manually pick the accounts from a list, there is nothing there). What am I missing?

Also, when I have successfully mapped all of the accounts and I am ready to start importing batches into Quickbooks how do I get rid of all of the existing batches without importing them? I have about a years worth of batches that I want to get rid of. I want to start importing daily batches starting on Jan 1st.

Hello Stringers,

Once you connect with the QB Data you need to import the COA to your RMS database, To do so you will need to go to the Utilities --> Import Quickbooks, then import the accounts and any order information you need to bring from QB to RMS, after this you will have all the COA in RMS.

To get rid of all the old batches there are two ways that I have found one is by running a SQL query and change some values in the Batch Table, I would not advise you to do this if you are not familiar with SQL. The easy way is after you setup your accounting using the Quickbook 2003, you change that setup to Quickbook file and post all the OLD batches to a .IFF file. This is a good practice also to troubleshoot the GL Posting to QB when you get errors.

Merry Christmas...!!!!
