Quotation XML

Jul 28, 2005 2 Replies

I have modified my RMS quotation receipt template with several small changes (such as adding the word "Quotation" to the top of the form, and embedding a graphical warranty statement). However, when RMS picks up an entire quote for an order, it doesn't seem to switch the template to my standard invoice.

Is there a conditional test that I can place on the quotation template that will switch based on some difference between a quote and actual transaction?

Or is there another way?

Thanks in advance!

Derek, When you convert a quote to a sale it still uses the quote template. Try playing with the following condition:

">~" PageWidth * 0.30 Transaction.Type = transactionSales "Invoice " "Quotation "

Transaction.ReceiptTransactionNumber

Thanks! That was very helpful. It would definitely be a nice feature to be able to specify which templates are used when picking up a quote or work order and converting to an invoice or receipt - this has to be a very common task. I'd also love to be able to specify which templates are used in the journal viewer, it would make reprinting much easier.
