RMS should have Unknown Customer screen option

Nov 03, 2005 1 Replies

In Microsoft Retail Management Systems 1.2, there is a Configuration Option to pop up and Unknown Item screen if the # scanned is not found. For customers, if a number is scanned (like on an employee badge or loyalty card) and not found, it automatically chooses the next Account Number in the list. Having an extra screen pop up would force the cashier to deal with the problem and avoid sales to the wrong customer. This is especially a problem with a particular client of ours who does payroll deduction based on the customer/employee assigned to the sale.
