We have received a new features press release and a readiness upgrade clinic sheet from our partner. Previous posts suggested a 2/12 or so release date.
My vendor mention MS should be mailing them out after 2/12 and if we don't rec'd them in a week after to call them back. Then they would get with MS for us a copy to start testing with before rolling out with.

Personally, I'll want at least 3-4 hot fixes to be released before I'll make the switch.

I was told Middle of Feb- I expect end of feb middle of march.
I would be happy to finally see a more comprehensive list of fixes, new features and function then what they have listed on their "disappointing" web site.
And I sure hope it does not end up being just a new version number without any major enhancements. However, it would not surprise me if it is just that.

I just wanted to sum up all of the commentary on this thread because it made me... cry. How can all of these statements possibly be true at the same time? And yet, they are!
HECK YES!
ABSOLUTELY TRUE!
WHO KNOWS!?!?!?!?!?

Just got mine today. I'm going to test thoroughly before I even think of installing Craig

Well I started the project and the setup upgrades you from MSDE to SQL Express easily if you so desire. You have the option of staying with MSDE but why would you want to stay with a database that's going to be obsolete? It also warns you that if you don't upgrade when you install 2.0 you will run into problems if you want to upgrade to SQL Express in the future. To be continued................ Craig
Craig - keep it coming! Thanks for being a guinea pig!
After I installed 2.0 everything in manager seems to be working fine. I have an add-in installed and it still seems to be working even though you have to upgrade the database to 2.0 in Administrator. One thing I like is that they put the retail price next to the cost on the recieving screen. One problem though, there is no way to print a label if you change the items retail price without going into the items properties. I read where you can add items to a PO 'On the fly' but haven't figured out how. I've run into a snag when trying to test the program however. I can't get into POS to test my add-in without inputting the license key. As long as I don't activate over the internet, is it safe to input the key on my test machine or am I screwed? I really don't want to go live with this until I've tested thoroughly in manager AND pos. Does anyone know how this would work? Craig

That is a really nice feature, especially being able to create a new item and add it to PO all in one step. It also allows you to select more than one item to add at a time. Craig
To add an item on the fly, select the Add Item button on the bottom while in the contents of the PO. Select New on the right to add a new Item
If you activate on one machine, you will have to re-activate using the telephone the next time for the other machine, assuming you have just the one license.
