I think that to get an inventory value at some time in the past you must take the current inventory and undo all movement back to the date you wish. I don't think you would do this in Active Reports. You could do it in Crystal, but it would be a complicated and slow running report. I have not tried it yet, though we could use it around here. If there is a better way to get at this information, I would like to know it.

These are far from perfect options...
Periodicaly print on paper a summary report of your item value report.
Periodcaly export your item value report... and then import into a workbook in Excel or better... load it into Access.
And... if you backup regularly... restore the file for that date... or closest to the date... and run the movement report.
