Using RMS with a wine club

Mar 20, 2005 3 Replies

In addition to POS in the tasting room, a wine club needs to accept customer data from an existing Access database, accept new customer information from an on-line guest book, accept and integrate customer and order information from an eCommerce site for on-line order processing, do batch processing of credit cards, integrate with FedEx/UPS for single and bulk order shipping, and integrate with existing QuickBooksPRO for back office accounting.

Any insight as to how many of these with RMS do will facilitate replacement of QuickBooksPOS with RMS.

Thanks,

All of these are possible with RMS, but will require either third party add-ons, or some custom integration work to accomplish. RMS is extremely open to customization and integration, but keep in mind that anytime the word 'custom' is mentioned, the price goes up. RMS has good integration with QB Pro built in, and there are several good 3rd party products for eCommerce and Shipping integration. Accepting customer information form external sources is easily accomplished in several ways - the complexity would be based on your needs and budget.

I'd suggest talking to several to find one who can perform the customizations you are looking for.

Thank you Glenn for this link!! I never knew about this site. I'm still looking for custom discount add-ons for our needs, maybe I can find some help from this site.

Thanks, kamal

Have you taken a look at the Wine Club Manager for RMS software by Elypsis of Napa? It's pretty sweet:

There's also a good case study on Cosentino Winery who uses RMS and this software here:
