Vital web address in registry key

In the knowledgebase article 891317 (Troubleshooting steps for errors on debit card transactions in Retail Management System 1.2, Store Operations)

formatting link

It says that the web address in the Vital registry key should be "ssl.pgs.wcom.net."

but ours says "ssl.pgs.wcom.net/scripts/gateway.dll?Transact" after a fresh install and the hotfix.

Does anyone know which is correct? We've JUST started using RMS, and I'm nervous about changing anything until I am pretty sure it's the right thing to do.

The reason this has come up is that we're processing through Paymentech via VITAL, and most things are running smoothly. We have been unable to accept any Wells Fargo debit cards as debit transactions, even though they run through just fine as credit card transactions.

Thanks for any help,

-CP

CP,

The address you have is correct. ssl.pgs.wcom.net/scripts/gateway.dll?Transact

In order for debit transactions to function properly you must have all the correct numbers in the set up area in Administrator, EDC tab. Verify the Merchant ABA, Settlement Agent Number, Sharing Group fields with Paymentech. After that it is up to Paymentech to fix the issues.
