what printer to get

Question

what printer should we get for small baby store we have over 1000 items we have the POS 2.0 system with scaner what works and what dose not. so far i have wasted 3 days trying to get a Zebra TLP 2844 to work and have had no luck. any help would be great. thank you

Are you looking for a label or receipt printer ? We use zebra 2844 for label printing and if you do not need to print that many receipts you can use any laser printer and use full size receipt format. You will also be able to print your reports using a laser printer. If you need to print a lot of receipts i would use Epson TM-T88IV

If its anything like 1.2 or 1.3 which I've heard it is then a Star Micronics TSP-643D should work well. It works great with our 1.2 system. Joe

Are you using windows or OPOS drivers for the zebra tlp 2844....?If windows, can you print a test page?  If windows, have you tried using the label designer in store ops manager to right-size a label?  I believe the TLP model is a thermal transfer printer, make sure you have the right media for thermal transfer...."Justd0d9b0-2edf-4e9e-810a-3ae18f75e382&dg=microsoft.public.pos
