I am pulling my hair out over here. I hand editted the XML to place the SubDescription1 instead of ItemLookupCode. I also said for the POS station to prompt for receipts.
Even after specifying a new receipt XML file and trying to reload the updated version, it's having difficulty getting used to the new format. It still recalls the old.
Can someone advise me as to a surefire way to clear out a cache of receipt info?

You can use only 1 receipt ... and QSRules load the xml receipt at start.. you can modify the first receipt.. and stop

After editing the XML File, you have to go into the Receipt Template and reassign your edited XML. The XML File itself is only used when you assign it to a Receipt Template - NOT each time a receipt is printed. Reassign the File, Click OK, say Yes when it asks if you want to reassign all items using that file, Restart the POS and you should start getting the new format. This will only apply to new receipts - journeyed receipts should not be affected.
