I've looked everywhere for solutions on my problem but can't seem to find one. Here's the deal:
- I create a sales receipt with an inventory item on the 25th.
- I look at the COGS account and see that it reports the cost as 0.00 even though the item item costs 2.15.
- I look at my Sales:Merchandise account and see that has been posted from the sales receipt.
- I change the date of the order to the 21st....now the cost shows up in COGS, then I change it to any date on or before the 21st, it shows up in COGS. I do this with a number of sales receipts and came to the conclusion that Quickbooks will only recognize posts to the COGS if its on or before the 21st but will still post the income. If the order date is after the 21st, it reports it as 0.00
WHY? Please somebody, anybody, help me!
