How do I remove 1st three months of data

Aug 30, 2005 2 Replies

I started quickbooks for the company in April, 2005. For more than one reason, I would like to now have the start date as July 1, 2005 (I can't wait for the first of the year).

Is there an easy way to remove the first three months of entries and enter new starting balances without losing the July and August entries?

Please help.

You can't remove the first three months without also removing July and August. You can however condense the data up until June 30th, 2005. You can always post a journal entry as of any date and adjust your account balances.

If you are a sole proprietor and have no revenue for that period then starting a new data file would be an alternative solution.
