Article is incorrect. Intuit has made these types of changes in patches since 1999. My take is who gives a s*it? Allan says if you process payroll in QB then subscribe to the payroll service. End of story. Its either Intuit's way or take the highway.

When will you people stop crying in my beer? It is May of 2007 and this has been Intuit's tax table subscription policy since September 1999. Get over it already.

I agree with you, Allan... but it's still crappy policy, and one that does not leave their customers happy. To be honest, if there were a decent alternative (that I could easily port everything to), I would.

But, alas, there isn't. And it's cheaper to go along with Intuit's crappy policies than to migrate to something else.

Migrate where? Charging for tax table subscriptions is standard in the industry. So is sunsetting . Just consider it a cost of doing business and move on.

I'm more concerned with the rising price of gas, heating oil and food. Don't get me started on all the taxes tacked on to a good bottle of scotch or the price of new homes.
