Payroll

Hi all, Can Quickbooks do both "pay every 2 weeks" as well as "paid on the 1st and 15th" methods of payroll calcs? We're working from time sheets filled out by hand, in the field, by our employees. We are currently paying them on the 1st and the

15th. This leads to a 'carry over' amount each pay period for most employees. Our current payroll is being done in Excel. We'd like to explore using Quickbooks. But we need to start without changing our current system so as not to upset the employees. We're paying now on the 1st and 15th. Anyway, I'm new to Quickbooks and would appreciate any help, websites, advice you may offer.

Thank you, Mark

Yep. QB supports all the standard payroll options: weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly(2x a month), monthly and annually. If you buy the new version of QuickBooks you'd also be entitled to a one time tax table download that'll let you do payroll. ...give it a spin. If you plan on doing payroll in QuickBooks for keeps, I'd consider signing up and paying for the payroll service.
