Quickbooks 2008 UK Pricing

I've got 2002 Pro and was thinking of upgrading Intuit UK quoted me £250, (c $500) So' I thought I'd check ebay

Well, I know the US version is not compatible with UK accounting, but imagine my surprise when I saw several versions on offer for $150 !

70% discount to the UK price

Here in the UK we're being charged more than THREE times the price of the US version

Intuit UK should hang it's head with shame I know this customer who'll be sitting on his wallet

It doesn't appear to be unique to Intuit--it seems to be a general phenomenon. Other ng's I frequent have folks complaining same thing about Microsoft OS upgrades, and other software packages as well (Matlab, a data analysis package is another specific case).

There seems to be something about the costs of doing business there that all US suppliers are finding. Of course, the current weak dollar should help from your side at least some...
