Financial Portfolio Import

Mar 30, 2008 5 Replies

Hello, I have QBpro 2008 and am trying to use it to keep track of a portfolio of about 50 stocks. The brokerage offers an online import feature, but I can't seem to find out how to set it up in QB? Anyone? REgards, Solar

I don't believe that QB can be used to track investments. You need Quicken to do that.

QuickBooks is not made for tracking stocks. Quicken does.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I believe that you're right. Quicken is the first step. In my defense, I told CS at Intuit what I needed and QB2008 was what they reccomended. I guess it's always Buyer Beware.

Rule #1, don't believe anything Intuit tells you!

Rule #2 don't believe what end users post. If you were a fly on the telephone you might have a different opinion. I bet my life the end user didn't just ask for the ability to download stock transactions.
