set price lists for customers

We currently have qb2004 pro.....is there a major difference between pro and premier if we upgrade? and what features?

A major thing we need to do is have set prices for certain customers..for instance....I sell a 60w light bulb to customer abc for .39 cents always, but customer zyx pays .29 always, and bbb pays .33. Is there a way QB can recognize an item was already sold to this customer at a certain price so I don't have to keep looking up prices everytime I invoice a customer? It is so time consuming and exhausting. It is like that for many items we sell.

I can't speak to the pro version of QB2006, but the premier version allows you to create specific price lists per item, and then you can associate that price list with any customers. It would work fine if you have groups of customers that pay .29, and other groups that pay .33, but if you have different prices for each customer it could be a nightmare.

Since 2006 Premier version has the major feature you are looking for notably price level lists that can be set for each item, need I say more?

It is always difficult when your pricing is determined by the seat of your pants.

Thats what I mean by seat of the pants. There is no fixed formula that can be used. Sometimes sell one item below cost and rip the customer another one by overpricing on the second item.

But I did find my answer in QB enterprise I tried the demo

You might want to check out the Premier version also, it is quite a bit less pricey than Enterprise. Enterprise mainly allows for "more" of the same stuff the lower versions have. For example, more users for simultaneous access, more customers/vendors/items in your lists, etc. Anyways, maybe check it out, hope this helps.
