Backup directory

Using Qkn Premier 2020 R25.21 Build 27.1.25.21 on Windows 10 PRO with latest updates. General backup software is Softland's Backup4All, version 8.6 build 292, running mirror backups nightly at 1:00 AM except Mondays, when other software does whole disk image backup.

I AM SOOO EMBARRASSED! Qkn user since DOS days and here I sit stumped, because Qkn is backing up to my NAS drive instead of my PC hard drive.

Found out when I saw that although using Qkn daily, my PC hard drive QDF file dated from 6 days ago. Then I went to EDIT > PREFERENCES > BACKUP and after clicking on "Open Backup Directories" ... KA-BOOOM! What shows up by my NAS drive!!

More So... SO, how do I reset backup directory in Qkn to the PC hard drive?

THANK YOU. I'm so ashamed I'm even willing to take whatever ribbing you want to throw my way!!

Unless you've created a link to the folder on the NAS drive, I suspect you're accessing the datafile in a folder on the NAS drive.

To relocate the automatic backup folder, relocate the datafile. Quicken will automatically create the BACKUP folder in the datafile's folder.

There are a variety of ways to relocate the datafile. For example, select "File" > "Save a copy as..."

Thank you, Sherlock. Can't begin to think how I came to open the NAS copy instead of the PC hard drive copy, and am very grateful for your suggestion.
