Backup Files

Sep 17, 2007 1 Replies

I recently set up my Quicken 2007 Deluxe to retain five consecutive backups, and to append the date of each backup. But my backup folder contains a set of pre-existing backups as well. I'd like to cull the backup folder.

I note that each backup set seems to consist of five files with extensions IDX, QDF, QEL, QPH, and QSD.

My question: Is it safe to delete all five such files of an old backup set, assuming I no longer need to retain the contained data?

Sure, you can delete all of the files in the backup folder if you want. Jim
