Balance difference

I had something similar happen but I was able to trace it to a transaction that was no longer valid. I had downloaded it from BoA in 9/05 but suddenly in 3/06 it disappeared from the bank. I had to delete that debit card transaction in Q to get my bank balance to balance correctly.

I had to check each month's balance back to 1/05 in order to confirm the missing transaction. I guess I got that pair of shoes purchased that day for free.

Thats what its looking like i have to do. Good thing its a long weekend, im not off by $200, its actually closer to $600.

Based on what i see going on in my other account, even my savings (everything matches) , it has to be some type of reoccuring transaction in checking.

Check to see if there is a transaction that is coded back to the same account. Sometimes that will throw you off.

I just sorted the file by month and checked each end of month balance in Q vs my bank statement until I found the month that did not match. Then I went through that month by transaction until I found it. I just never figured out how that transaction disappeared off of the bank statement since I do reconcile the account every couple of months and all transactions are downloaded from the bank. I never enter transactions in myself.
