I use Quicken 2005 R5. Unless I'm missing something when editing security details (non IRA), there are only two choices-taxable or tax free. They also appear to be locked in with corresponding transaction categories. In other words there are no transaction categories for Federal Tax Free/State Taxable (Muni Bonds) and Federal Taxable/State Tax Free (Treasuries) securities. Are there any work-arounds for this? It seems like there is a need.
