New checking account advice

Apr 11, 2006 1 Replies

I currently pay quicken to provide on line check writing for my bank account. I have a few scheduled checks, and a lot of defined payees.

I plan to move to a new bank that offers quicken access directly.

What now?

Do I create a new quicken account for the new bank?

Do I have to reenter all my payee account information?

I don't see how I can convert the old account to the new bank without messing up my reconcile. And both account need to be open for a while in any case.

Yes.

Probably. Is this a problem?

You don't need to convert the old account to the new account.

I don't see a problem here.
