What do you mean? Where do you get this information? Are you serious? Do you have a specific problem? Is there a reason you posted this same statement on multiple forums? Are you having a bad hair day? Why do you call yourself angry mouse? Does your mother know you're doing this? Are you just generally unhappy? Have you ever considered other hobbies? Do posts like this get you off? Do you really use Quicken? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Actually a pretty good newsgroup I think. Troll free and focused on discussion of quicken issues. As I read posts, it seems I see a lot of questions being answered.

This is far enough off the mark to be considered a troll, I think.

No group is _entirely_ troll-free, as is evidenced by the post that started this thread. Ignore it.

After a few days, I came back to check out the newsgroup. Wow, what a reaction!!!!!!!!

Geez, you guys, get a life.

P.S. Yes, I have Quicken and if anybody can tell me how to recover my *.qdf files with years of records then I may change my opinion. Otherwise, it stands.

That's what data backups are for !

If you have "years" of data that you lost, you are going about the use of the software all WRONG !

At the end of the year I always copy the the Quicken data files to a new folder that represents that year. For example; d:\data\q\2006

Then I do a weekly backup of all data. Unfortunately my 12GB DAT tape drive started breaking tapes last month but I still have a DVD/RW drive and I easily backup all my data to DVD disks instead.

Is this true ? What does that mean?

financial files onto your backup drive, without ever investigating why Q2003 was not backing up properly?

Is this true?

You couldn't open Quicken files? My own version of quicken comes with a sample file. Very likely Q2003 does as well. Did you investigate? Can you open this file with your new installation?

I know I'm feeding a troll, but I think your a fool.
