One Step Updated vs. WebConnect

I really, really hate using WebConnect to download transactions. It takes six clicks and two passwords to download transactions from my bank.

I loved One Step Update, because it imports transactions directly into the register without the necessity of a browser session.

Does anyone know where one can find a list of financial institutions that use One Step Update? I've scoured Intuit's site to no avail.

Thanks in advance, Andrew.

If you click on "Online" along the Tool Bar at the top of Quicken and then select Participating Financial Institutions, you will find a list of all FI's that download to Quicken and the supported Download methods.

I use both Bank of America and Charles Schwab with One Step Update.

A few weeks ago I started a short thread about Bank of America wanting $9.95 per month to activate OSU. The web connect remains free but I refuse to pay their extortion. You'd think those greedy bastards would be satisfied with my other business.

I ended up pulling most of my money out along with my credit card business. Screw 'em.

Wells Fargo asks for $3/month for OSU, web connect is free.

It will be interesting to see, if people do move away from FIs because of this, whether they'll drop their prices and keep paying Intuit, force Intuit to lower their price, will consumers get used to pay for it, or no one will care.

I'd probably be willing to pay $3 per month. I found $9.95 per month exorbitant. I won't pay it. As it is, I don't pay them anything. While it would be more conveninet, I sure as hell can live without it.

Did I mention I thought Bank of America was a bunch of greedy moneygrubbing lowlifes?
