Portfolio Display - meaning of Columns

Among the Available Column choices are 'Day Close' and 'Quote/Price' What's the difference? I have always naively assumed that the 'Quote/Price' was the last price of the day and therefore equal to 'Day Close'. I did not find any clarification in the Quicken glossary. Can anybody shed some light on this, please? Thanks.

Bob, The "Quote/Price" column is a relatively real-time (within the constraints of trading server data exchange capabilities) current price for a traded equity. So, in the case of a Dow or NASDAQ traded equity share, it will be the price within a reasonable time window that the stock is trading now. If you were to refresh your Portfolio view during the trading day, you should see the "Quote/Price" change with the market. That said, if your portfolio is made up exclusively of Mutual Funds, where the NAV is determined at the end of the trading day only, there will be no mid-day "Quote/Price", rather it will only ever be the daily quote.
