I've just started using WinXP (from Win98) and recently upgraded to Quicken Basic 2005 (latest release #3). When I try to export a report as a tab delimited file, for use in a spreadsheet, Quicken generates an error that causes Windows to shut it down , exporting as a plain text file works OK.
I've been able to work around the export problem by copy/pasting the report but I shouldn't have to.

Are you using the 'built-in' Export Data [top left of report or right-click in report]? Have you tried the Print To File option off the Print Menu?
Do not have solution but will confirm that these work just fine for me
- use it frequently. Running QW05 Basic-R3 on Wiin XP.
It doesn't matter whether I use the menu or right-clickthen try to export, the program crashes. Windows then asks to send sombody the error report, yada, yada ...
