Q 2017 D R5 available, d/l & installed fine

The subject says it all. No need for 'me toos', but I didn't see this indicated in the NG yet.

I did the R5 update and it installed ok. But now, when I start Q17, I get a small message box (says "Review downloaded Payee") on the blank screen of Q17 and the remaining screen remains blank. I can click anywhere on the Q17 screen and the box disappears and Quicken starts normally.

What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

Thanks for any insights. Charlie

I guess I'll have to wait for an update fix.

Or just make sure you do not tell Quicken to start with an account register open.

Is there any way to disable Quicken from automatically installing new updates? I started Quicken today and it immediately started the update process. I would like to be able to turn it off.

Thanks.

Startup is not the only problem. For example, exiting with backup or performing a backup from the menu with a register on the screen will result in the same problem. I've seen other operations within Quicken (e.g. File Operations) also exhibit similar behavior. Nothing serious, just annoyances... but wish they would fix soon.

What I do dur I guess I'll have to wait for an update fix.

It appears the issue has been resolved in R6:
