Yes, your godfather needs to click on "Select quicken.com data to update" in the one-step update pane. In the resulting pane he should click on the "Connection" tab and check "Change my member id and password on Quicken.com".

Then he should run one-step update. After that, he can optionally uncheck all the check boxes that are sending data to quicken.com - seems he doesn't use it anyway.

Thanks Mike. I'll forward this to him. If he doesn't fully understand it, I'll have him save your instructions and I'll give it a shot next time I go over. We're a mess. His English is a little weak and lives in Yonkers, NY. I'm disabled and live in NJ, so...

Thanks again. I'll let you know if it worked (it might be a while).

Thank you Mike. I called him and we tried over the phone. If we did it correctly, we failed. The error message continues. Oh well, thanks again.

Is that a new feature in Q2006? I have Q2005 and ran across this problem about a year ago... Intuit told me that there was no way to delete my member id on Quicken.com and that I had to just abandon it and create a new one. That worked and got rid of the error message from update, but apparently my old id is still somewhere on Quicken.com.
