Re-arranging split transactions

Once again I am totally stumped which I readily admit is not too hard. So, I thought I would check in with the experts.

Windows 10 Home Version 21H1 OS Build 19043.1165

Quicken Premier Version R35.23 Build 23.1.35.23

When entering Split Transactions for a specific memorized vendor, for some unexplained reason the order of some of the memorized split lines has changed. As an example:

Line 1 - Groceries Line 2 - Tax:Sales Line 3 - Auto:Fuel

has changed to: Line 1 - Tax:Sales Line 2 - Auto:Fuel Line 3 - Groceries

Search as I may, I can not find an answer as to re-ordering the lines back to my original. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I assume you mean that a split transaction in the Memorized Payee List has had the order of its split lines changed. If not, please supply some more detail.

Quicken has no ability to sort split lines: not in a Memorized transaction or an actual transaction. If you want the split lines reordered, you will have to do it manually.

After you have reordered the split lines in the Memorized transaction, make sure that Memorized transaction is "Locked".

Also see Edit > Preferences > Mobile and Web. Do you have Sync turned on? If yes, turn Sync off; then as time passes, note whether your split lines remain as you entered them.

You assumed correctly.

Aha! Never noticed that before. After I get them back to "my" order, I will, indeed, Lock it.

Yes, the Synch is on. I will turn it off & keep an eye on the siruation for a while.
